Ecosystem builders be building

Published about 1 year ago • 2 min read

Hello Reader,

Welcome to another issue of Impact Curator!

The last few weeks have felt like a sprint: reporting to the federal government (yawn!), becoming an official Creative Mornings chapter (yay!), lining up our monthly spring events, piloting a new format for entrepreneurial ecosystems here in the Valley, beginning to wrap season 5, starting to plan for season 6, and welcoming my first sponsor!

Even though convening the creative community in the Shenandoah Valley doesn't fall under the category of entrepreneurial ecosystem building, I'm continuously astonished how this community roots for each other: They share events and opportunities, space, as well as their thoughts and fears. The give first mentality is palpable and the generosity and kindness among these creatives reminds me of essence of what we're here to do: to share with the world what we have to offer and create something bigger and more beautiful than any of us could do on our own.

My two podcast guests - Larkin Garbee and Lucas Lindsey - take us on a journey from previously building ecosystems to now building real state. Much like nurturing the creative community, construction and ecosystem building have a lot more in common than you might suspect:

I come across a lot of resources that I think every ecosystem builder should get their hands on. While I share them far and wide on many channels (mostly LinkedIn & Instagram), I love curating a list of the best insights, opportunities and resources for you:

Mark your calendars!

I'll be back in your inbox in two weeks to introduce you to two more Quitters.

In camaraderie,
